As a pre-treatment, apply to damp, towel-dried hair before shampooing. It’s a concentrated product (a little goes a long way) but general recommendations are to apply a generous amount, saturating hair from the roots to ends. Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes, or longer if desired.
After 10 minutes, thoroughly rinse the treatment from your hair. Shampoo and condition as normal. Air or blow dry, style and apply your favorite products as usual.
Should I Shampoo First?
For best results, Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector is used on damp, unwashed hair prior to shampooing. But, an exception to this rule has been suggested in some reviews. It’s possible that, in some cases, washing first could result in greater effectiveness.
