Ever since I was young, I’ve been pretty intentional about my skincare and beauty routine. I do my makeup every day, even if it’s just a quick, 5 minute job (I save the glam for special nights). It makes me feel ready and put together to take on the day! I am definitely not a makeup pro, but it’s an important part of my daily self care. Today, I want to share with you some of my favourite products.
What do I use? I am no stranger to the more affordable beauty aisles at the drugstore. Love thy drugstore beauty! I much less often purchase expensive department store brands when it comes to my makeup and skincare (although there are some that I love). I have favourite drugstore products that I buy again and again, that are much more budget-friendly and are really just as good!
Everyone’s skin care and beauty needs are different. I hope you’ll find that these products are just as great and effective for you too!
Ride Or Die Buys
When I say that I buy these products again and again, I mean that I am loyal. These are the products that become my regular beauty empties. That is, I use it all until the container is empty and then I buy it again (they are so key to my everyday routine that I can’t go a day without them)!

e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer – I love this primer, it’s like velvet. It smooths and hydrates your skin, minimizing pores and giving you a flawless base to apply your makeup.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser – This one’s a game changer for erasing dark under eye circles, for real. It’s instant brightening and I love the sponge applicator.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Full Wear Concealer – It’s true that this is ‘more than concealer’. It’s maximum, full wear coverage (one of the best I’ve used). I use it to ‘spot treat’ imperfections.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara – A cult favourite for a reason. You’ll buy this again and again (and again). One of the best ever mascaras. Volumizing and lengthening.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Boosting Primer – If you thought Voluminous was good alone, you have to try it with this. A lash boosting, conditioning primer that’ll give you lashes for days.
Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara – A close second to Voluminous. It’s so good you can skip a step (goodbye eyelash curler). It’s slightly more difficult to remove, but you won’t mind.
essence Lash Princess False Effect Mascara – I haven’t actually used this one, but I’ve heard so many times that it’s the best of the best for the price. A #1 Amazon bestseller in Mascara with over 225,000 reviews.
Maybelline New York Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick – My dentist couldn’t believe that it didn’t even come off during my exam. For everyday wear, Dreamer is a beautiful shade. It’s the best matte lip colour that you’ll ever buy. I share all about why you have to try it in this blog post.
Batiste Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray – I use this volumizing dry shampoo everyday. It absorbs oil, gives great lift and helps prevent damage from overwashing. Batiste is the best!
