As you know, we live for Reese’s Book Club.
That said, we were thrilled with this week’s exciting news introducing “a brand new chapter” of the club . . . Reese’s Book Club YA (young adult) pick!
Each month, Reese will now also be choosing a title from the YA genre (in addition to her monthly selection) to read along with book club fans.
We’ve put together a list of everything we know so far about Reese’s Book Club YA, including her very first pick and why she chose it.
Join the club! Reese’s unbelievably popular book club on Instagram has all the reading inspiration you’ll ever need.
And check out our recent post on the four newest picks from Reese’s Book Club that you have to read this summer.
Here’s what you need to know about the new #ReesesBookClubYA . . .

YA GENRE
YA = young adult. A (very) popular book genre intended for older teen and adult readers. Reese is clearly a fan, “I’ve been reading so many incredible, diverse stories in the YA genre,” she writes.
WOMEN’S STORIES
Reese’s Book Club is all about “elevating women’s stories”. That’s not going to change with Reese’s Book Club YA picks, these books will all also “feature women at the center of the stories”.
DOUBLE THE PICKS
This is great news for Reese’s Book Club fans, who anxiously await every monthly selection. Now, with the addition of a YA pick too, we get double the book picks from Reese each month.
MIDDLE OF THE MONTH
Reese’s Book Club selections are announced at the beginning of each month. But, it’s going to be a little different for her YA picks. Reese’s Book Club YA picks will be announced in the middle of every month (giving us time to read both).
YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN (2020)
By Leah Johnson
The first Reese’s Book Club YA pick. Will you be reading along this month?
“This funny, joyful story follows mighty Liz Lighty as she runs for senior prom to win scholarship money to her dream college. Along the way, she navigates typical teenage friend drama and falls for the new girl, who happens to be her competition. It’ll have you reliving your high school prom days!” – Reese Witherspoon (August, 2020).
