PRODIGAL SON (FOX), SEPT. 23
A brand new crime drama with a dark comedic tone. A genius (and neurotic) criminal psychologist investigates crimes and stops killers for the New York City Police Department in Prodigal Son (a disgraced FBI profiler). Did we mention his father is a notorious serial killer? You won’t want to miss this.
THIS IS US (NBC), SEPT 24
Every family has a story. The Pearson family is back. This Is Us returns for it’s highly anticipated fourth season, promising new characters, twists, and turns that you’ll never see coming. We can’t get enough of this award winning, emotional drama (a fan favourite). Get the tissues.
SURVIVOR (CBS), SEPT 25
Outwit, outplay, outlast. The ultimate competitive (and all time favourite) reality show is back. Get ready for season 39, Survivor: Island of the Idols. Jeff Probst returns with all new survivors, challenges, and surprise past champions (this time as mentors). Who will win the million dollars and the title of sole survivor?
THE POLITICIAN (NETFLIX), SEPT. 27
A Netflix original series with an all star cast. Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jessica Lange star in The Politician, a new comedic drama about a confident, entitled rich kid who believes he’s destined to be president. But first? “He has to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: high school” (Netflix).
THE MORNING SHOW (APPLE TV+), NOV. 1
Major star power. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell star in this dramatic new series about the inside world, scandals, and chaos of morning news (mirroring the current #MeToo movement). An Apple TV+ debut series, The Morning Show premieres at launch on November 1.
THE CROWN (NETFLIX), NOV. 17
An award winning, Netflix original drama series on the life of Queen Elizabeth II, from the 1940s to her modern day rule. The highly anticipated third season of The Crown streams November 17, with Olivia Colman succeeding Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth.
