Book Club Love | Reese’s Book Club

Interested in joining a book club? Getting lost in a good book, with the perfect cup of coffee or glass of wine, is one of the greatest pleasures in life (especially in the fall with a purring cat on your lap, there’s just something about that). There’s nothing like losing yourself deep between the covers of the next book on your to-be-read list, in the character’s stories, in another world. And sharing the experience of that story, reading along with others, is even better.

Join Reese’s Book Club. It’s “only the best book club ever.”

If you’re a book lover (like yours truly), Reese Witherspoon is about to become your newest best friend. Not only is she an accomplished actress, producer, businesswoman extraordinaire, and not to mention – an Oscar-winner, but she’s championed women’s voices and stories like no other person in Hollywood, ever. She’s sunshine-y, optimistic, and uses proceeds from her book club to support children’s literacy and readership programs. Just what I like to hear.

Reese’s Book Club

I joined Reese’s Book Club a few years ago, and have been discovering her latest monthly picks ever since – swept up in books with a woman at the centre of every story, that’s her only requirement. She’s putting women’s writing and stories into the world on a level like never before – and undoubtedly has the perfect read for you, of any genre, for any mood. “We make our choices thoughtfully and look for ways to deepen our connection to books, authors and ourselves.”

I’ll admit I don’t always take choosing my next read lightly, immersing myself in someone else’s world – buying the book or borrowing from the library (one of life’s greatest places), dedicating the valuable time. But, I love being a part of something bigger than myself, belonging to a like-minded community, reading along with others, and Reese has yet to disappoint. I deeply appreciate what she is doing for women’s writing, for their life stories.
